You have to question their motivation I wonder if they got owned in Battlefield or something.
I'm far from being a EA fan in fact I only own a few free games on origin that I've never even bothered playing (dragon age origins for example) so I don't personally care but I do question why target EA specifically when Ubisoft would have been a much better target IMO.

Why don't they do this to Ubi instead....

probably because ubi hasn't had a good multiplayer game that's worth ddosing for a while, also uplay does that on its own sometimes

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here

They don't seem to be hacktivists like Anonymous, more so just jackasses with nothing better to do.

I get that but even jackasses with nothing better to do generally have a reason they selected that target over another.

I was thinking of it like this back in 2001 when I was in high school and had little better to do the only things me or my gaming clan ever bothered taking down or taking over were servers and websites belonging to people/clans that so happened to piss us off in someway usually by trying to take down our servers first. I guess not everyone requires some form of motivation to select their targets but we sure did.

Having a cause usually makes you less of a jackass but in recent months EA hasn;t really done anything wrong so it seems silly they would target them.
