Which SSD?

Matimo

I have around £50 to burn on a 128gb SSD. Which one should I get based on speed?

Sandisk Ultra II (Click Ultra in the colour selection bit to see it) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-128-Inch-Internal-SDSSDP-128G-G25/dp/B007ZW2LY4

Normal Sandisk - http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-128-Inch-Internal-SDSSDP-128G-G25/dp/B007ZW2LY4

HyperX Fury - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KW3MTBS/ref=gb1h_img_m-3_4907_2ff3de9e?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_r=1EE7FDMMMRB4FSAET30Y&pf_rd_i=590987031&pf_rd_p=559404907

Which of these is best for me, or are there better ones available?

Hm.

I'd say Crucial. I have a normal SanDisk 64GB one and it's not too great and I have no clue about HyperX's ones.

Sig under construction.

That Crucial drive seems to have poor write speeds in comparison to the Fury drive, or am I just falling victim to marketing tactics? What about this drive? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-120GB-Basic-Solid-State/dp/B00E3W15P0/ref=pd_cp_computers_0

In terms of spec the 120/128 drives are pathetic. The 240/256 drives are far superior. The exception is the EVO's which use software tricks to get those specs. I would still recommend the MX100 256gb even tho it's just outside your budget at 76 quid. A larger and better drive than the ones you are looking at.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!

I actually bought a Crucial MX100 256GB in the Black Friday deals week, it was only £60!
