Bitfenix Shadow for gaming rig

Lagerall1

Im planning to build a gaming rig in the Bitfenix Shadow. I choose this case because of the simple look and the nice formfactor. Now im wondering if cooling will be an issue due to the fact that there are no fan munts in the top and the front doesnt look air-flow-friendly aswell. Does anyone built in this case before? Or have any other thoughts on it?

Im sorry for some faults in my english writing which eventually appear because im not a native speaker D:

Since you don't really have a lot of massive heat output in that system, I really would not worry about it. It's obviously not the best case for massive overclocks, but besides that you're golden

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Ok thanks OCing wont be a thing anyway with a locked i5 and a h97 Mobo. Would it be beneficial to add a second fan at the front?

If you can, add a fan or two, but it looks like things will be fine as is. the BitFenix site sates there is room for 4 fans in total, which with no overclocking would be fine (Its amazing how much air a fan can move, even in a constricted place)

If you can get a 970 model that exhausts the air out of the back of the case, that could help  a little, but its not a key pointer.

Dont worry - your English is waaaaaaay better than our German

You should use all the fanspots that you can :) Also if you want something simple that gets the job done with a low pricetag there would still be Zalmann R1. Dunno if you like it, just sayin there are more cases around. Like fractals core series etc

The rig is for my gf and it is really hard to find a case she likes. :D

Second fan at the front is definitely a good idea. You can typically get better temps and get a nice positive air pressure which helps limit dust buildup even more.

I meant there is no further explanation needed ... if thats the case she wants, then thats the one you will have to work with!!!!

Its a nice looking case though, and should make a nice rig

120 is great, if it can fit a 140 go for that. I use Cougar and Corsair airflow fans, alhough anything that can move air well would  be worth it. Given there might not be much free flow in the front of the case, a static pressure fan might work better, otehrs here might have some great insights into that

I've got a 120mm corsair fan left which came with my 100i i could try this with a low noise adapter
