Love when you cut linus off with the intro!

Edit: Do you reckon having a 1080p screen would slightly increase battery life?

After watching it I must say it looks like the perfect phone... Luckily for me I have verizon so availability shouldn't be an issue :)

I've used the phone for a few hours, I think it's a great device though I don't like fact that it's a Verizon exclusive. Because if it wasn't I would consider it over the Nexus 6.

Also Linus, to solve your minimum brightness issue just download the app screen filter. It works great on my One M8 and significantly saves battery on AMOLED devices. :-)

@beebskadoo I'd be all over this phone if it wasn't a Verizon exclusive.. Sadly it is limiting how many people will actually have one and get to enjoy it. :(

I know the Motorolla that makes radios isn't the same Motorolla that makes phones anymore, but why do they not make phones with batteries that are easy to swap?

This would be such a great phone if not for the glued-in battery planned obsolescence bullshit.

I suppose it's to be expected from Google. I hope Lenovo talk some sense into them.

Nice to see that they threw away the "thinner is better" concept.

Having a thicker phone with a gigantic battery instead of a thin one that I have to charge every 12 hours is so much better.

Linus, I love all the content you and the crew produce but I think the anorexia joke was in pretty poor taste. It's a very serious mental illness. You could've made it about being skinny instead of anorexia. Being skinny is something you can be born as or a lifestyle choice. Anorexia isn't. Didn't watch the rest of the video because of this. I don't mind crude humor and social commentary but it's better if accompanied by an actual message.

Looking forward to the next vid!

I liked that motorola decided to forgo the trend of making super thin phones and slapped in a bigger battery.

Is anyone else disappointed with the fact that it has dedicated buttons? I plan on getting this phone, but coming from my Razr Maxx HD it seems like a downgrade.

I'm with Maudima, that intro joke was tasteless.

And it's really disturbing that people are attacking people who got offended by it in the video comments.

why do so many good cases only come in black and white

Would be the perfect phone if it had stock android (fast updates from google), no camera issues and a 1080p screen (really don't see the need for higher resolutions than that) especially on a 5 inch screen. If it had a 1080p screen it easily survives the day of a power user, and it will also last a lot longer when the battery degrades, since you will still be able to make the end of the day after two years (just with 15% instead of 35%).
