help choosing the right CPU

hi guys


i am about to buy a new computer ...


choosing the RAM, the GPU are easy but the CPU still mystery


i have few question i'd like to ask ...


 


which one is better ? i7 2 cores or i5 4 cores ?


i7 2 cores 4th generation or i7 4 cores 3th generation ?


 


i am going to use this new computer for my designs and also for gaming ...


specially i can't forget that i used to let my old computer awake all night because of rendering a 2 min after effects video !!


 


also i don't have enough money for huge CPU like i7 6 cores or 8 cores ... which are very expensive


 


there is any other stuff i must check besides to the CPU/GPU/RAM ?

Honestly, I would just got with a i7 4770k or a i7 4790k. The hyperthreading helps with render times.

what is your budget and country?


CPU Intel I7-4700MQ @2.4 ghz, turbos to 3.4 

Motherboard  whatever toshiba put in the thing

RAM 8GB 1600mhz 

GPU  Nvidia Geforce GT 740M  

Storage 750Gb 5400rpm   

Cooling  Crappy laptop fan 

Operating System  windows 8 64 bit

We need the following informaiton

  • Budget
  • Location
  • If you have all the peripherals
  • If you need the OS
  • Any special requirements for PC (i.e. Color Scheme)

my Budget is 1500 DT for the whole computer, ( ~ 1400 $ )
