Changing "OS" in a Smart TV

Bupstrack

Hi, i recently bought a Ken Brown 50" 3D Smart TV ( Ken Brown Led50e700kb ).

Image quality is great but.. the smart function only gives facebook, kind of google chrome, youtube and flickr.

Here is my question... is there a way to change that "OS" (if it called like that) to another one (newer or diferent brand)?

Thinking if it works like a computer...

Thanks guys, good luck.

I dont think so(Im not too good at smart TV's and such),
But you could buy a chromecast or something similar to use instead of the built in OS.

I don't like how chromecast works, even though i have one. But it preferable to use the built in OS.

You could... but the thing is finding a decent OS first wich works with your (almost typed PC) TV. I bet there are tutorials on YouTube defineatly

It will be difficult because often TVs are underpowered for what they have to run. Or locked down.

Sony uses a open source version of Opera powered by Linux.
