Mini-ITX Gaming Rig under $500.00 (Black Friday)

Axypha

Basikly, I'll be installing Ubuntu on this for about a Year, waiting for Win10. I'm ONLY shopping at The Micro Center and Amazon, and I can purchase items in-store. I also want an actual ITX Case, not something that completely misses the point of ITX Rigs (being small) like the BitFenix Prodigy. All helpful comments are appreciated, but pls don't post something uneducated qq. It would also be helpful if someone could show me a video or guide on installing Ubuntu, and a guide on using it.

Here's what I have in mind atm:

CPU:       Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core          $59.99

Mobo:     Asus H97I-PLUS Mini ITX LGA1150                $69.99

RAM:       G.Skill Value 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600         $83.45

HDD:        Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM          $56.99

GPU:        XFX Radeon R9 270 2GB Double Dissipation  $149.99

Case:        Antec ISK600 Mini ITX Tower                        $55.23

PSU:         EVGA 430W ATX12V / EPS12V                      $19.99

                                                                         Total:  $495.63

I would get a 1 x 8gb kit so you can upgrade to 16gb later. :)

I personally think that 16GB of RAM is useless for me, and I won't need it until the very far future. I'm not a tab monster on browsers, and I rarely ever have more than 2 Applications running at once.

I'm also not planing on doing any upgrades besides an SSD when Win10 comes out.

Are you located near a microcenter? You can snag even sweeter deals.

I like your setup. Make sure you OC that CPU. It OC's well on stock cooler.

Intel Inside. Overweight guy in his 30's outside.

Thx. And ya, I'm about 30 Minutes away from a Micro Center. I'll try and look for things on their website.
