New plans for building a Gaming/Animation PC

I need a nother Animation /content creation PC where I'll also be able to game too but there are some parts I really decide on. please let me know which I should get. Thank you

 

Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03 Mid Tower or Corsair Carbide 200R ATX Window

CPU: i7 4790 or xeon e3-1231-v3

MotherBoard: Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H or Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 3 or Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5 (all 3 have the same price)

CPU Cooler: Xigmatek Dark Knight SD1283 Night Hawk

RAM: AVEXIR Core 1600C9 (8G=2x4G) - Red or Yellow LED depending on which board

Storage: SiliconPower S60 120GB

Storage: WD 1TB Blue /64MB/EZEX/7200

GPU: MSI GTX970 ARMOR 4GB GDDR5

PSU: Seasonic 550W S12G

Why do you need Z97 for non k cpu?

Will you OC?

I feel like IMO that a 980 would serve you better.

Because he had a hard drive.
