Starting to get bored with everyone bashing UBISOFT

pugz

I know Watchdogs was a bent spoon, sort of like those blokes that can bend spoons by rubbing them, yet neglect to tell anyone that the are nickel titanium that react to to temperature.. Watchdogs i was really disappointed with the fact that is was not fixed(as i really wanted to take advantage of my SLI setup but it stuttered like hell). Assassin's Creed Unity may not be perfect but I can play it for the meantime(even at 4K) not perfect but still i don't have a problem as long as they are committed to fix it... Far Cry 4 i really don't have any problems with... I know UBI seems to be the new EA, but whether you buy a $100,000 car or a $50 computer game do really expect it to be perfect?... I would admit i don't think it would not be hard to buy a few rigs(pc wise anyway) with either top of the range titans and r295x2 or gaming 780/780ti/970/980 range cards installed to test... I know QA should always be involved(otherwise the odd $150,000 i ask for a backbone citrix server with unspeakable memory without working i would be fired in a minute!!!!) Lets say everything was fixed, i'm not sure people will still be happy... ALTHOUGH UBI seriously needs a new PR department, cause i'm not sure writing off customers is the way to go especially for people that pre-order their games.. Either burn my thoughts or even place your own below... Cause even with watchdogs i could play it without enabling SLI(lucky i have kick arse cards) but would of really to take advantage of my beautiful 144hz ROG swift with that game... Anyone that chooses to post on this(don't even bother telling me how cool INDY games are) you are dead to me...

Well considering they have tried to lock most games to 30fps for pc they do deserve it, if they continue to release games and fix them when bugged and not lock them to 30fps then i'm sure we'll all like them again

Maybe it has something to do with their marketing division overhyping the gaming so damn high that on the day of release their games fall down so low they have to buy a machine to dig it!!

Well.. if Ubisoft sees all our desperation they'd step up their game by hurrying up to fix the damn game.

If there is no voice, nothing can be changed. I think the bitching about Ubisoft is fully justified, especially by the PC community. It is the same with what EA was like, and now they are "trying" to step it up.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

Dead horse logic.

I can see this from your first sentence. They dont bend spoons with rubbing you idiot. Either pressure on table or while you are not attentive on other surface. When you see rubbing it is allready bent or pressing hard so it bends on surface.

I wont even attempt to refute or read all the crap you posted.

I know Watchdogs was a bent spoon,

The thing that pissed everyone off was the way they presented the spoon, everyone was excited by how the spoon looked.

tumblr_m9jstr2Mmn1rdh1u9o3_250.gif

They purposely bent the spoon!

tumblr_m9jstr2Mmn1rdh1u9o10_r1_250.gif

And were all like:

tumblr_m9jstr2Mmn1rdh1u9o6_400.gif

tumblr_m9jstr2Mmn1rdh1u9o8_250.gif

Until a modder, came and uncovered the original settings and unbent the spoon, to make people realize that the spoon had been bent.

tumblr_msj8yvxUIg1qfsqb5o1_400.gif

So people could play the game that was advertised to them..and the excuses that followed is what some people are mad at, as they realized that they downgraded the pc experience, so it would not be leaps and bounds better than the console experience. Heck the demos at the shows show fake consoles running, with the pc's actually hidden away. (False advertising + impressions)

By trying to bend the spoon, it's their own reputation amongst pc gamers that buy their games,  nosedived.

I know UBI seems to be the new EA, but whether you buy a $100,000 car or a $50 computer game do really expect it to be perfect?...

Wot m8? So you don't expect it to be? Look I agree with you on the whole Ubisoft hate movement getting old, it's been annoying for a while now. The twats moaning on and on about Ubisoft still went out and bought AC4 and FC4..

If I buy something I expect it to work as expected and depending on how much I paid for it and how much one is expected to pay for it. I expect a certain quality. If I buy $100.000 Audi A7, it better run smooth as a baby's bottom.

If I pay $60 expecting as full fledged game it better work without glitches and other crap. Whether I like the story and gameplay is different because it is always the risk you take when buying a game. Nobody had a gun to your head, it was up to you to do your research and try to figure out whether the game itself would fit your taste. But if it doesn't work or if it has enough bugs in it, that it impedes me from enjoying the game I paid full price for I will be disappointed and in this case the game developer has failed to provide me with a product worth the cash I paid.

All you've done with this topic is defend something unjust and manage to incorporate some bragging about your ROG Swift and SLI GPU's setup. Props for efficiency.

Just... no. If we dont point out problems, we will have problems.

NO... It's people like me buying top products that even keep you in the game at all mate... I have really nice cars and if you think that is that case then good luck... My old mans car(before he passed away) was the second quickest supercar on this planet... Guess what, broke down in two days... I fully understand yr point of buggy software as from even an IT department view on money you paid for something to work perfect(if that is even possible).. I just really think you are being unrealistic... I wasn't bragging i just wanted to use it to it's full potential... Sorry if you have a poverty screen not my fault get a job...

I'm starting to get bored of Ubisoft making EA look like saints by contrast, BSing reasoning why nearing 2015 that 30FPS is acceptable and releasing buggy piles of shit to the masses as a finished product.

Keep me in the game? You don't know me bruh so slow your roll. I have a job and I'm perfectly fine with my financial status as it is very acceptable for a 20 year old university student living on his own. :)

This isn't about some deeper question about whether perfection can be achieved because to believe that it can be achieved is indeed unrealistic.

What I mean is that you expect a certain quality for what you pay for. I recently bought a new monitor, the touch sensitive buttons on it are a nightmare.

I didn't return it because I very much accept that it can't be 'perfect'. In this case I had gathered from reviews that the buttons suck but I chose to risk it in the hope that it wouldn't be too bad.

On the other hand it's still in 'perfect' working condition (i.e. no dead pixels, inaccurate colors, black light bleed, flickering, true to specs performance etc.).

I fully expect it to remain in this good state (provided that I don't cause any damage to it myself) at least until the three year warranty passes because that is what I paid for.

If it were to break I expect it to be replaced or to at least receive the necessary help in fixing it.

This is what the warranty included guarantees. This is what I paid for. These expectations are NOT unreasonable.

We as a consumers have more power than we think and we shouldn't reward companies for failing to stand behind the products that fail to meet the big promises they themselves make about them.

There are plenty of companies that do understand with it means to fully stand behind their products and these companies earn my business time and time again.

Agreed... Fully understand yr point and thankyou for your point of view... My point was really that if they work the community and accept their faults and not take the "fix it yourself approach" like watchdogs i will continue to buy their games as they for most part look great.. I see your point as well when companies stand behind their products and offer what i call "a limited guarantee" as long as they fix it i think that is really all we ask... I spent $50K on a work car that spent the most of 3 years other than 7 months in total at GM(at the end still wasn't fixed)... Never got my money back, let alone the time and money lost in the vehicle itself...  The only option left was to sell it to some other person and let them deal with it...
