MSI GTX970 ARMOR 4GB GDDR5 (SGD $489.00)performance wise

Daniel91

Yesterday I helped one of my classmate pick up a new GPU to upgrade her old pc, we picked up a 970 for her new pc and we were thinking of picking up the MSI GTX970 4GB Gaming till we saw the MSI GTX970 ARMOR 4GB, although lower clocked it didn't lose much to it's gaming brother,

MSI GTX 970 ARMOR 4GB GDDR5 - SGD $489.00

Clock Speed: 1051MHz Core (Boost Clock:1178MHz)
Memory Clock/Memory size: 4096MB GDDR5 7010MHz Memory

Overclocked Speed: 1454Mhz

memory overclock: 8000Mhz

MSI GTX970 4GB Gaming GDDR5 - SGD $579.00

1140MHz Core (Boost Clock:1279MHz) (OC Mode)

1114MHz Core (Boost Clock:1253MHz) (Gaming Mode)
1051MHz Core (Boost Clock:1178MHz) (Silent Mode)
Memory Clock/Memory size: 4096MB GDDR5 7010MHz Memory

Although it doesn't have the apps of the gaming card it's a pretty good card and a pretty good overclocker, and being $90.00 cheaper is does the job of the GTX 970 I think this is one card with exellent value

Hey bro, I'm sad to tell you, but an "armor" edition doesn't exist. It's only the store you are buying from trying to put a fancy name on it. Comparing the specs given, the ACTUAL name of the card is Msi Gtx 970 4gd5t.

And take care! there is a similar model which has the exact same look as this one, except that it has "OC" on the end of the model. Next time, post a link to the manufacturer's website of the model, much like I did right now.
