Getting more out of my overclock.

Ahimoth

What's up people. My 780ti classified is giving me a little bit of grief. I'm trying to hit for a 1400mhz stable core clock @1.3v for now. Currently I've been able to get 1370-1385 stable which is a 220-226 offset. However any more than that and the card crashes on the final combined test of 3D mark Fire Strike Extreme.

I can't get the exact error command but there's two which pop up. One pasted below the other gives me a similar error message and recommend I fix it.

Is this just as far as I can take my card for now? If so I'll move onto Skynet's bios and invest in a more beefy PSU to carry it up to 1.3 + cV.

Thanks for the help.

I assuming its under water, and the temps are fine, if you are able to hit those clocks and voltages, but as far as i can tell, it might just be the limit of the card, and usually any weird errors after a crash on firestrike, just mean that the card weirded out, but maybe didn't say that the driver crashed and recovered.

My 760's do the same thing as they have the g10 kraken on them, and the temps are fine, but even with extra volts it wont go over 1250 MHz

Another bios on the card might help, but im less sure that the PSU is the problem...

Changing the BIOS probably won't help. The only thing it will change is getting rid of GPU boost. Which does help in some scenarios, but honestly man. Not worth the risk. You will void your warranty for only a 1% performance gain? Your current OC is already super strong. There's no reason to start messing with alternate BIOS.

Sometimes it's just luck of the chip. You already have a Damon good chip, it's just not top 10% good.
