Any1 with same PC specs wanna help me with overclocking my CPU?

Ok guys, to be quick here, I would like to overclock my CPU. Because I run a lot of hardware demanding games and programs. My specs are in my profile so u guys can go there and check it out. If some of u guys have nearly precisely the specs that I have a settings profile for me to just input in the mobo would be like a huuuugggeee time saver for me.

Did you update the bios to the absolute latest one? Otherwise you cannot OC your CPU because it's H81.

That's motherboard revision, not bios revision. Bios version is F1 or F2 etc. Not Rev 1.0

Idk it says that when I look at which version it is. But I'm pretty sure it's the latest one

It's VER F6

Oh good but I might have some bad news for you but before I confirm it I want you to go into your bios and see if your CPU Ratio/Multiplier is greyed out or limited. If it is then gigabyte has not allowed OC'ing on H81.

Not necessarily. A few brands enabled OC'ing on non-Z platforms but couldn't find any news that gigabyte is one of them

Basically just get some stress testing program, launch into your BIOS and change your cpu voltage to something like 1.15 or 1.2 and reboot and stress test. If it passes then reboot into BIOS and change your cpu core speed, itll be shown as 34 not 3.4. When i oc'd i changed my core up to 36 then 38, etc. If you cannot reboot or your computer crashes during the stress test then your oc is unstable and you most likely will need to increase your voltage. Personally, 4.3 is when i will crash with voltage at 1.2, so when that happens i would increase the voltage by about .05 and rerun the stress test. After finding your max voltage you can run at(especially if you are on an air cooler)you can then slightly tweak the voltage up or down to find the lowest possible voltage you can run the oc at. For example i can run 4.0GHz at 1.059 for my voltage but at 1.058 my computer will crash.

If that sounds to complicated or you want a very easy step-by-step instruction guide for the haswell chipsets:

(that video helped me when i first oc'd my cpu)

i7 4790K @4.7GHz; MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition; Klevv Neo 4x4Gb 2400Mhz; PNY GeForce GTX 980; Crucial M500 240GB SSD; Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD; Corsair RM750; NZXT Kraken X61
