Help with upgrade

Hello,

im planning some upgrades to my PC setup soon and would like to hear your toughts/suggestions

current setup:

CPU: intel i7 2600K (stock)

GPU: asus radeon hd 6950 direct cu ii (1gb, slight oc, asus direct cu )

MBO: asus P8P67 PRO (REV 3.1)

RAM: vengeance 8 gb (1600 mhz, 2X4gb)

HDD: WD caviar black 1 TB (mass storage)

SSD: kongstone hyperX 3k 240gb (OS)

PSU: corsair TX750 80 plus bronze

CPU cooler: corsair H80

CASE: HAF X (4x 200mm fan)

MONITORS: LG 20"(1650x1080), DELL 24"(1920x1080)

my plan is to upgrade to a LG 34UM95(3440x1440) and keep the 24" as a secondary monitor,im sure that  my curretn card won't be able to run this monitor very well for gaming so the plan is to upgrade the gpu to one of these:

1.)GTX 970 ---- (0/4 recommend)

2.)GTX 980 ---- (0/4 recommend)

3.)GTX 970 x2 ---- (4/4 recommend)

4.) something else suggest

my mbo supports sli and the psu should be enough to run the config,

the plan is to oc the cpu (hope around 4.2-4.4, will be my first time ocing so hoping nothing gets fried)

i mostly play mobas like LOL/strife... and mmos (Wildstar/GW2/Aion... and occasionally some more single player based games (AC...)

the system is also used for programing and some 3D modeling software

also very often i find that im using almoast all of my ram so im thinking of upgrading that too by adding 8gb more, the problem is i can't find the exact ram stick that i have in any store near me so im wondering:

1.)what are the pros/cons of putting a different pair of ram sticks to my existing ones (would still buy corsair ram)

while i think that the confing apart from the gpu is fine for what i need i would like to hear your toughts on it (is it worth to upgread this system...)
