GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 SUPPORT 2400MHZ RAM?

Can I get some pics or legit confirmation that the Revision 4 with the latest bios will run 2400MHz ram natively please?

There are reviews saying they have and also peeps on pcpartpicker saying they have it but they have shown no proof and Gigabyte hasn't gotten back to me.

I know it says it doesn't and GA site says you have to downclock to 2000.

I just need real confirmation, I'm sorry if you feel it's wasting your time, I did search a good amount and asked those people who have said it but no replies.

if its anything like my boards its down to the CPU, the fastest my cpu natively supports on my boards (not sure if my msi one supports 2400xmp) but i can run 2133 with a 225FSB and that gives you 2400mhz with fx8 cores.

to clarify untill recently ive been running a 225fsb with ram set to 2133 and the timings punched in manually for 2400mhz
(boards on rma)
my gigabyte 970a-ud3p is the same. i think the selectable XMP profile is 2133 (with slightly lower timings)
so instead of it being 2400 cl11 its 2133 cl10.

here's (most of) my settings, was trying to explain timings to someone so ignore the 9-9-9-24..

Do you mind if I contact you when I put mine together if I cannot figure it out myself?

If you are referring to your x99 UD3 and my 990FX UD3 they are way different. If you are at least.

Yes it will if you enable XMP or dial the frequency manually.

It will depend on Dimm size, how many dimms, and how strong the CPU's IMC is.

in theroy yes but most likely not with 4 Dimms and not without some fiddling in the bios

AMD's IMC is garbage

does it matter?

if you run your ram at 1600 or 2400mhz it doesnt make a jackshit diffrence.
