AHHH! NZXT H440 vs. Corsair 450D

Gofspar

-I like having 4 upward-facing USB ports versus the 450D's 2 forward-facing.

But there are some people who have their PCs under the desk. And sometimes the space between the desk and the top of the PC can be small, so you can forget about trying to plug any USB anything in.

this is probably the only place i'll hang out anymore: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/274320-the-long-awaited-car-thread/

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

intake fans.

What about them?

But there are some people who have their PCs under the desk.

Good point.  But I would suppose I'd wonder about outward airflow from a case that has inaccessible up-facing USB ports.

Doesn't the 450D have more intake fans, I didn't really study the H440.

450D has 2 intake intake.   H440 has 3.

The white one there is a bit too much like a large kitchen appliance to me, but it does better for a visibility in a video over view.

Ugh, you're killin me, doesn't 450D get better temps because nzxt starves the fans?

Yes. The H440 is more on silent optimized and watercooling operation. The 450D has airflow in mind.

iunno.   There are plenty of variables that would change what temperatures are read.   Environmentals, usage habits, installed components, and any combination of those things.

Heat isn't a concern with our set up.  There's plenty of moving air with what we have.  Nor would/will I be worried with a better video card.

You know that what makes a PC silent is the fan, not the case! Airflow case = less RPM needed = less noise + better temps

Well noise dampening foam is also a factor.

I also added two Corsair SP120 pressure fans to the top exhaust.

This is true.  And it definitely works, there are many fans inside our case and it's still pretty quiet.

i have a h440 really nice looking case cant really fault it the only thing i would change on it is the space behind the motherboard tray not enough for cable management but managed to get them all behind there but its a squeeze. i will hate to have to open it back up again as its a pain to get on

I can see that.  Rigidity of the cables might contribute depending on what's in the case.

its worth noting, it is possible to do manage the cables well. My panel slides on and off with ease.

sli wouldn't matter since PCIe power doesn't run bend the case (doesn't have to anyway). And it probably took me around an hour.

Im not sure what case to get, My friend has a H440 and is basically eye sex, but my Reference 760 might benefit from a 450D, decide for me m8's.

I bought my 750D on newegg for less than H440 price (after MIR).

450D(m ATX) is a good case, but H440(ATX) is the next level.
