Ubisoft .. Not Delivering Pre-Orders and Not Even Answering Angry Customers

adnank77

Last year, I fall in love with "Black Flag" .. I got the poster, the statue and finished the game at 94%.

I also loved Far Cry 3 ..

This year, I decided to get both as pre-orders from Ubisoft online store .. I'm from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which is middle east. Middle east is typically combined with Europe as a region, so I was not surprised to see the shipments coming from Germany.

But, here is what happened :

AC Unity Shipment was picked on 14th November. I called DHL to see when would they deliver, and they gave me a surprising answer: Sir, your shipment is not traceable.

A day later, they said that they've located it, it's on hold.

on 17th, The update was showing is that it was picked up by some strange name !! So I called DHL again and they said: "The sender didn't complete the paperwork, so we returned the shipment to the sender. This strange name is from sender's side".

They also told me that more than 50 shipments from same sender were ALL returned (I would assume that all were pre-orders).

What supports this is that my second shipment was never picked up .. it's stuck on "Shipment Information Received" since 17th November !

I logged two cases for my two orders on 19th without a response so far .. I even tweeted Ubisoft, Ubisoft Support and Ubisoft Middle East and surprisingly they didn't even bother to respond to me !!!!!

What's the deal with Ubisoft ? I'm wondering if this problem was only limited to the UAE orders or was it a more general problem ?

Be patient

Ubisoft support is probably mobbed due to the mess that Unity is.

Cancel the order and don't give them your money.  They don't deserve it.

Also my experience with DHL was a horrid one.  Easily the worst parcel delivery experience I ever had.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Ubi isn't even worth pirating from. Vote not with your wallet, but with your attention to their products. Let them die like other studios have before them.

If it is not buggy :3 the thing is everything on the net is about unity
what is weird and surprising that they released another game already

Just now Ubisoft Middle East responded to me in Twitter and asked me to fill a complain form !! For God sake I filled that on 19th and even included the ticket number in my original tweet !!

Well, it's probably unpopular not to blame Ubisoft right now but I'd rather blame DHL fot not delivering your product. Something in the delivery chain went wrong and how is Ubisoft to blame here?

I could blame DHL for the first shipment (AC Unity) as it was with them and they returned it .. but second shipment (FC4) was never picked up .. !

Suddenly .. DHL delivered AC Unity today ..

It's obvious, Ubisoft sent the game via DHL with missing papers .. Ubisoft re-sent the shipment without updating about the new shipment number .. so I wasn't aware it was coming until I saw it..

Hopefully FC4 will follow too

The ability to cancel a Unity pre-order at this point should be seen as a gift from whatever god(s) you personally follow. Get your money back while you can.

LMAO .. Loved the "Whatever God(s)" part ..

Too late to cancel .. and I really wasn't interested in cancellation as much as in getting some "Customer Service"

I like your take on natural selection. I approve of this approach.
