HyperX Fury vs Crucial mx100

derrickd241

Title pretty much says it all. I'm looking to upgrade my rig with an ssd mostly for windows. I remember Linus believes 250ish GB drives are a good option. So on newegg they have a hyperX fury 240gb sad and a crucial mx100 256gb ssd both for 99.99usd. Which one is better? Or are there any better deals anywhere else?

I own the MX100 and it hasn't given me any problems at all. Personally, I'd take a look at 512 gb SSD's at Black Friday cause you know they are gonna be hella cheap (hopefully around 150$, maybe less, so the extra 50 bucks is totally worth it). The 512 GB SSD I bought was this.

I would pick the MX100 over the Kingston every day of the week. It's just a better drive. That said, waiting for BF is wise and going up a size would be beneficial.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!

Cyber Monday is basically Black Friday 2.0. Black Friday has gone from Friday sales to Thursday-Monday sales.
