Suggestions/Opinions? :)

Ninjah Tigah

1. Budget & Location

1900 Euro max. The place I've found to be the cheapest for components is: www.hardwareversand.de and on the top right you can put it into English.

2. Aim

Gaming, I'll be looking to play the newest titles such as Witcher 3 when it comes out and many others.

3. Monitors

Currently have a 32" LG TV but this wont be suitable for gaming so was wondering if it would be better to go with a 144hz 1080p monitor or would it be better to go for a 60hz 1440p monitor?

4. Peripherals

Apart from a monitor, no other Peripherals are needed. :)

5. Why are you upgrading?

Previously had another build done but ended up having to return and so got a full refund and decided that I would need to include a monitor in the budget as the Tv wouldn't be able to handle gaming.

A sample build that I put together is:

I have already bought a water-cooler for the build - Cooler Master Nepton 280L

Do you think the sample build would be good enough? I'm completely aware that 970sli for 1080 is somewhat overkill but if I'm trying to push 144fps out of the pc at max settings then I think that it isn't really that overkill. I'm also aware that the fancy LED's don't add anything but oh well. :P All opinions are welcome. :D

Looks decent enough. The only thing I can see that I would change would

be the case, but that's a subjective opinion as everyone's taste is different. :)

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

I have given a lot of thought to the H440, have you another suggestion? :)

Is there any changes at all you'd suggest other than the case btw? I just want to be 100% sure before I splash out that much.

The memory link doesn't work.

You don't really need all those fans.

pcpartpicker does list www.hardwareversand.de as a merchant but for some reason doesn't list new parts. You may want to send them a query about this.

I've bought from hardwareversand a few times and they're all new parts and you can get discounts very easily (Already got 50 euro discount with www.geizhals.de). Germans... ;)

There's only 5 fans, two for the 280L to replace the existing ones and then one on the back and two intakes at front. Is that too many? :o

Also, what do you mean by memory link? :)

Just another question as I'm unsure on this. Does anyone think that going for a single 970 and going for a g-sync monitor would be a better choice? Is there any other suggestions in regard to changing the build?

All input is greatly appreciated. :)

If one clicks on the OP link for RAM, one gets a 404 error "Die von Ihnen gesuchte Ressource /en/1333+Low+Voltage/44313/8GB-Kit+G-Skill+Ripjaws+PC3-10667U+CL7.articles existiert nicht.".

Why replace stock fans? It seems silly to me to buy something that includes perfectly good working parts which will be immediately discarded. In the case of the Nepton 280L it increases its cost by 25%

Agreed.  None of the fans in the H440 need to be replaced out of the box.  However, adding them wouldn't be bad.  But it depends on where you're going to put the radiator.  If it's going to be mounted at the top of the case blowing upward, then you already have the SP140 fans for that.

The case also comes with one exhaust fan, and three intake fans.  So between those four and the radiator fans you chose, you're good to go.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep the existing stock fans then. :)

P.S, I'm still undecided about whether to go for the phantom 530 or H440. My only issue with the H440 is that the air-flow isn't great from what I've read. (Although I completely understand why)

Also the ram was: http://www.hardwareversand.de/en/1333+Low+Voltage/44320/8GB-Kit+G.Skill+RipJaws-X++PC3-10667U+CL7.article

From what I've read, frequency doesn't really make that big of a different if the Cas Latency is high and so, CL7 @ 1333mhz was what I thought I'd go with, is that a bad choice? :)

Would this ram be better? http://www.hardwareversand.de/en/1866+Low+Voltage/50800/8GB-Kit+G.Skill+Sniper+PC3-14900U+CL9-10-9-28.article
