Can I use mouse+keyboard on the ps4?

IMPERIUS

Hi!

I'll get a new mouse+ keyboard soon and I want to use them on my ps4. Both are usb

I read that you just stick them into the ps4' front usb openings and thats it. But in a yt video a guy used a little device that he pluged into the ps and the mouse+ keyboard into his device.

So my question is, do I need to use some sort of device to use the mouse+ keyboard? Also, how effective is it. Since the games are optimized for the controller not for mouse+ keyboard  and I don't want to have that effect when you turn the joystick to the edge and the cursor moves just a little bit at the beginning but then accelarates (I guess that for improved accuracy).

Thank you

Longboarders/ skaters message me!

I've heard there's a substantial delay time from when you input something and it happens.

I have heard when you use the usbs the Accuracy is even Worse than the controller, due to software issues. I have seen crazy setups that people use to get mouse and keyboard on a ps4. The thing is though, the controller is actually pretty nice. Buy some cheap thumb grips and your good to go.

EDIT: Keymanders are good also, but last time I checked they only had them for the PS3, not 4.

There are many competing products on the market for this.

Youtube search

Ps4 keyboard and mouse fps

Compare different vids and products.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Yes but you need the interface device

also since the mouse is emulating the joystick the movement is pretty janky, honestly just use a controller

Firmware + software update for the Keymander is available for it to work on PS4, of course needs to be done before hooking the Keymander up to a PS4. (ah DOI! xD)

I have noticed that some games like FF14:ARR have keyboard compat for typing on the PS3 version but apparently full keyboard/mouse compat for the PS4 version, though.
