Project Omega (900D Build)

squirrl

On the cable topic, i'll be updating my build log soon with the new MDPC cables (looks a lot neater with the first one done already)

I replaced my PSU, I'm prob getting extensions for my 1000 p2 that look like this: Ima probably sell my hx1050+ the cables once I RMA the 1050, it's got major issues.

Those have a very "ROG" look :D

Here's a teaser of mine:

P1020440thumb.JPG

Long term plans are to
-Add more RAM (white)
-Finish cables
-Paint fans white
-Block off the bottom 2 holes (probably from the back, though i could fit some wrap over them to mask them)
-Mask the optical drive area
-Get some sleeved SATA cables with the same sleeve as the other cables
-Mount the SSD in front of the ODD bays

-Custom white/black/orange backplate for the GPU

Ok, new update since I've got some time to get it together!

Finally got the major braided cables done. I laced them with alpenwasser's tutorial :)

Here's the 4+8 pin

Also very messy :(

All the cables after

P1020572thumb.JPG

Routed the power switch cable under the motherboard. I think i'll do this for all the front panel stuff and cover up the bottom holes totally.

P1020448thumb.JPG

The bottom right hole is now a big mess. I'll need to do a new backplate for it. This time it should expand on the current one and wrap around the motherboard too.

Don't think i've shown my new ducky shine 3

I got some new RAM as it was lacking in white around the motherboard area. Plasti-dip works quite well.

Plans left:

-Finish cables - I've expanded this to the fan controller too. I will mount it in the front of the case

where there is room rather than shoving it in the back.

-Paint fans white

-Block off the bottom 2 holes (probably from the back, though i could fit some wrap over them to mask them)

-Mask the optical drive area

-Get some sleeved SATA cables with the same sleeve as the other cables

-Mount the SSD in front of the ODD bays

-Custom white/black/orange backplate for the GPU
