Occasional Screen Stutter. Dual Monitor.

GreveN
Go to solution Solved by GreveN,

Been ages since i posted an uppdate but found that a reformat solved everthing. it was prob DisplayFusion that caused the issue. Thanks for the awnsers though!  :D

Hello, I have been using my new computer for about a year now and recently added a secondary monitor to my rig. The problem I am facing is sort of weird. I can´t find any think about it on the internet, and i have tried a few things but no luck.

The problem occurs when I sit idle and just look at things like documents or the a game main menu. sometimes, but not consistent the screen flashes white for like .1 second. It´s very annoying when i just leave the computer idle and it flashes and draws my attention. Any one have any idea of what the problem could be? all help would be greatly appriciated.

Monitors:

Samsung Syncmaster S24B750 60Hz Connected via HDMI

AOC D2369 60Hz Connected via DVI

I probably forgot something so ask if anything is missing.

Are the GPU drivers up to date? What GPU do you have anyways?

Have you tried it with a different DVI or HDMI cable?

EDIT: Oh, and on what monitor does it happen? If it's the AOC one, make sure 3D functionality is off.

I can´t seem to quote your post maybe a bug?

Yeah I´m sorry for not replying been having a lot in school. I just now updated my Drivers through Geforce Experience, and I use a GTX 770 Windforce 2Gb.

I used the DVI cabel that came with my monitor for a while but it was a bit to short so i went out and bought a 2 meter instead but i had the same problem.

I will dig through my cable boxes to see if i can´t find a few diffrent HDMI and DVI cabels i can try instead.

EDIT: It´s both monitors that "flash" or stutters.

Do they stutter at the same time? Have you been able to test any of the monitors out with a different machine?

A different PC, or a console or something?

Currently i have not, only swapped between Intel and Dedicated Graphics but i will try with my laptop and see if anything changes.

I tried with my two laptops on both monitors and i have isolated the stutter to my PC as with none of my laptops i observed any stutter.

And i´m not sure where to go next. Would underclocking the graphics card help? that would really be my last resort though.
