Go to solution Solved by ShadowCaptain,

i must sound if i am on something then lol would you know if a dell precision m6600 with an upgrade card be enough my friend says it will game just fine with that and $700 is all i have cause i am currently looking for a job and dont wanna invest to much on an amazing laptop just something to game on better then my macbookpro which is where i got my $700

You cannot upgrade laptop graphics cards (besides a few big alienwares etc)

Here this has an 840m inside and is under $700 and is brand new

(USED) Gaming Laptop Needs

Screen Size 15-17 LED (will make expects for 13 depends if it has mostly everything on list)

Resolution 1600x or 1920x

(UPGRADE ABLE) 8gb 1600 hmz

1tb with 120 gb SSD (does not need to come included just option to upgrade)

playing games past 30 fps  Medium high Dedicated Graphics (Direct X 11)

under 700

can be used

Hopefully something that looks good cause am use to the quality of my macbook pro 2011 but realize

i need some good mobile power for lan parties and just all the specs i list are better then this laptop

things like battery life are not really needed cause you should be plunged in for gaming for best performance

i am looking to play new games like COD ADvan bf3 & 4 titanfall and i will be happy if i am able to at least

play them stable am looking for those laptops which you can upgrade everything on it my friend recommends

a workstation but i think maybe there are better options (this laptop can come with bad specs that

i can upgrade) there so enlighten me guys this (anything is better then MAC for gaming LOL i am happy i have been

able to play gaming like LOL and smite and COD WAW) but its time to move on for something with some more

serious specs my friend as recommend me a dell precision m6600 and or an hp elitebook both are under 650 will those fits my needs with the game i wanna play if i upgrade them?(OPEN to Discussion because i am in a noob in tech )

Really hard to comment on used things to be honest, you will just have to look around for bargains

I think $700 is a rather optimistic budget

Lenovo y50 for 1000€. It will run games in 1080p with 60fps if you have it on low

1000 euros... is $1250... a little over his budget I think

i know the $700 dollar is a little hope full but on the used market i have seen some used alienwares and workstations for under 650 that seem good but i don't know all the features because i am no tech genius i think my real question is if those workstations i mention will work for the gaming i wanna do forgetting specs with an upgraded video card at least playing those games stable or and if a Dell Alienware M17x good enough if i can upgrade it

No that is total garbage... the MMX cards for laptops are expensive and the best you can put in that is a 9800m gt, which is still a piece of shit

the 840m is 90% as fast as a gt 750m (i have the 750m btw.) and 2GB GDDR3, while the gt 750M has 2GB GDDR5 or 4GB GDDR3. the 840M is more efficient doe
