Good tablet?

Killaconor

Hey there everyone, well the winter season is upon us and that means sales on tablets. So I was wanting to know a good tablet to name drop when asked "So Killaconor, what do you want for christmas?". I have a Note 4 (on T-mobile), but I'm looking for a bigger screen. I plan on using it mostly for games like Star Citizen, BF4, and The Division when they come out. But i would also like to be able to take notes on it when needed. I see that T-mobile has a lot to offer and had my eye on the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 but it's not available on tmobile yet. so i was looking for something similar to that. It doesn't necessarily need to be on tmobile or even use data, I'm mostly going to use it on WiFi anyway. Any thoughts?

So you want to run BF4 on an ARM based tablet?

Good luck...

I recommend the following:

  • Tab S 10.5
  • Galaxy Note 10.1/12.2 2014
  • Surface PRO 3
  • Nexus 9

I like it how you recommended so many Samsung devices :P

Jk, not that they're bad, but TW is... ugh...

Also got to say, Note Pro 12.2 was in my father's consideration, but he decided he doesn't want to blow 900 euros on a tablet... They're a TAD bit overpriced...

Has a Samsung logo on it? Fair price for me.  ;)

Well the 12.2 is actually pretty cheap.

They slashed the prices to $500. *If you preorder

My first recommendation is the Tab S though.

Nothing could beat that gorgeous SAMOLED display.

He lives in the US so it's irrelevant.

Just buy it here and ship it out to Europe if you really want it...

Just saying that for me it's too expensive....

Well, i'd still recommend a Shile since it's a "gaming" (if you can call it like that) tablet, but for productivity, if he doesn't mind TW (i mind it, a lot, but he's probably a different story, since he has Note 4) then Note series tablets is very good (stylus and all)

Hey everyone, i didn't necessarily mean i was going to "Game" on it, i meant use it in addition to games. Like, they said you're going to be able to modify your ships systems on a tablet (star citizen), and you can play BF4/The Division as commander on the tablet. So i guess gaming wouldn't be my main focus. I'm leaning towards the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 since it's on my carrier and i can finance it.

Honestly, The Shield tablet takes my vote. I have a FHD Nexus 7 and I love it to death. but once it kicks the bucket, I'mma get a shield tablet.
