People have an incredibly short memory. I will upload a bunch of tech stuff, then one video of a battery powered hammock or something and sure as shoot there'll be a thread on the forum "Linus has forgotten his core audience, etc"

Great video. I've never really overclocked anything ever, but I enjoyed it none the less. I feel like overclocking has a fairly large barrier to entry. Every now and again, I think about giving it a shot because I wanna go fast. But then I get worried that I might mess up my shiny new parts. I guess that's kind of the nature of the beast though.

Video of a battery powered hammock or something

If such a thing ever comes out, you gotta do a video about it now.

A little off topic but have any of you guys had problems viewing any of Linus's content, the 60FPS in this new video lags me out so bad it's unwatchable for some strange reason. Would love to see it but I can't watch it  :(

@LinusTech What are your thoughts on the Asus Deluxe X99 auto overclock gene thing. Just run that and put xmp on memory and everything should be fine?

Yup, Linus is right, 60fps won't benefit much for such videos, still nice though. 1080p 60 for me.

Hey Linus, @ 13:03 when talking about overclocking the Cpu Cache I think you forgot to mention upping the CPU Cache volts.

Also. You mentioned an issue im currently having. Im tweaking my memory overclock to the XMP profile and I'm getting the AIDA64 instabilities around the 12 hour mark as well. Was that ram divider issue? or?

nice guide but wow so many useless and expensive components

and i hope you stop recommending K frikkin cpus for GAMING or even fx 6300(lol) over a locked i5 just because you can overclock them when its plain and simple useless

What vcore did you applied at 4.7 ?

Mine is staying at 1.275 vcore, 4.3 ghz because I don't need any more hp from my cpu and going to 4.5 + require more than 1.31v. The voltage per Δ frequency isn't worth it now.

General remark:
Could you post google doc sheets when you publish videos because it's much easier to compare data from a doc than from a vid.

Great guide but I got a bit confused. When you enabled XMP you said the bclk changed to 125 and had to adjust cpu timings to it. But later when you said to mess a bit with the bclk for a stable overclock you changed it from 100 to 101... so which is it? Enable XMP and go back to 100 bclk or stay with the XMP bclk?
