Cannot Decide Which Mechanical Keyboard to Buy

URKIDNEYME

Theirs a strawpoll below to cast your vote, but if your selection isn't there then please leave a reply with suggestions as im doing some research into some :)

The list is:

Logitech G710+ (£100)

Razer Blackwidow Expert (£89)

Razer Blackwidow Ultimate (£115)

Corsair K70 Vengeance (109)

I have never tried Razer products before, but I hear from the internet (valid source indeed) that Razer products are for "fanboys". Maybe you can help me with that?

My price point is a max £150 ($240) so hopefully if you have a keyboard you reckon I should look up, leave it below in a comment and I will place it under my suggestions :)

Not razer, they're terrible.... You should go with a Ducky Shine, it's a great keyboard.

Go with the K70, the G710+ has no choice over what switch you want unless you like Cherry Browns with O-rings. The Razer keyboards use a cheaper imitation switch that doesn't last as long as genuine Cherrys.

Razer Hardware is cheaply made now. The switches are not of the same quality as Cherry.

I have a Corsair K70 my self with Cherry MX blues and its a great keyboard.

None of them.

DISCLAIMER: This has more to do with build quality then key preference. The guy that made this does prefer Topres though.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I disagree with many of your choices in the teirs mainly because razer is in the same category as the corsair and wasd  also cherry mx better than topre for some things while topre beats cherry better for typing

I didn't make this.

The guy that did is/was a mod at r/rmechanicalkeyboards.

as I said, it's based mostly off build quality. He also looks at the quality of keycaps a lot. Which is apparently why Corsair is not so good on the chart.

One that he could of added into the mix was vortex, they have the same quality as leopold except simpler, also most "gaming" keyboards are made out of abs which makes sense in this chart but it looks like only pbt keycap keboards are at the top.  It's a flawed chart but I see why he made it.

He hated ABS.

I dislike abs too but not hate it.  The only thing i dont like about abs is that it gets shinny from all the oils of your hands.

I have one of the new daskeyboard 4s, and I think it's an excellent keyboard. As far as the picture with keyboard grades go, you can pick up aftermarket keycaps and change the feel of that, so I wouldn't be too concerned about that specifically. For me personally, I seem to be a lot more accurate in my typing when I use cherry browns versus blues, which doesn't make any sense, but that's what I've experienced. I love my DK4 ultimate with cherry browns. And the new media keys and such are excellent! I really prefer not having a function modifier, but to each his own. (The DK4 uses an aluminum top plate, instead of the old shiny plastic, so it's much nicer build quality than it used to be.)

Edit: that being said, I've only experienced a few good keyboards before. I've used an apple extended 2, but I'm not a big fan of alps switches, however, I haven't used that keyboard extensively, so take that with a grain of salt. I've also had a daskeyboard professional with blues, which is where I experienced my inaccuracy. I also have a Razer blackwidow ultimate 2013 (?) Which uses browns. My favorite is the DK4 though.

(Sorry about rambling a bit)

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
