Thermal Paste For AM3 (FX-6300)

I'm getting the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.

When i apply the thermal paste, what is the best way to do it?

I herd the dot is the best way, but in other places i herd that for AMD processors you should do the X way.

But since the FX-6300 has 6 cores, what is the best way for it?

Most importantly: not too much.

A very thin line is not bad but the dot in the middle is probably the most safe.

who cares...

Honestly, there's little if any difference between the (valid) various methods. The size of an uncooked grain of rice in the center, letting the heat spreader do the work has worked fine for many years, for many people.

A thin even layer on the CPU is ideal so as to fill all the low spots and create a direct thermal contact between the CPU and the base of the cooling unit.
