Nabu Scams - Razer CEO Warns

AuXDubz

I've been informed that there have been eBay, Craigslist, etc listings of the Razer Nabu and some of the prices listed have the Nabu for over US$400 or more with many customers already pre-ordering the unit at that price.

We have NOT shipped any Nabus to third parties at this time and that we strongly advise against purchasing at any unauthorized third party resellers.

Further - the retail price at the start will be under US$100 - and although you will definitely find scalpers that will resell the launch units for much higher prices (as with any Razer product that we launch) - we highly discourage you from purchasing from them. We know of companies that specialize in buying up Razer products at to resell them for a huge profit at launch and we're doing everything we can to ensure this doesn't happen at the detriment of our customers.

The launch units will be exclusively for our Insider members with mass availability to follow after.

- Min-Liang Tan (Co-Founder, CEO and Creative Director of Razer)

That's terrible. Not that I'm gonna buy one, but that's pretty rotten that there

are companies that are trying to rip off consumers in a massive way. :o

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

Why would anyone buy or develop for such a closed and niche market such as wearables. If there is no ad money, there is no developer support.

This is why I avoid Ebay at all costs.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Ebay isn't too bad.... as long as you're not stupid, i've had some great deals from ebay. That said, a large amount of ebay users are pretty dumb.

I though it was wired until you said, Scratch that, I won't be getting a Naga Chroma. I probably just end up getting a Death Adder Chroma. I prefer Razers RGB offering compared to other brands due to the logo (not starting a flame war)

I don't need someone to ask me something before I comment, this is a forum.

Yea, but you don't need to be an asshole about it on a thread that has nothing to do with your original statement.

Cool story bro. No one asked.

People who hate often complain louder than those that like, it seems.

I use a Mamba Wireless and have for the last 3 years with no issue. Come at me, LTT elitists, for using a "inferior and overpriced" Razer product.

Well I was just saying my opinion, without being an asshole. Qwertywarrior did the same thing and he didn't get shit on.

Yours caught my eye more since you responded to someone specifically after they mentioned they were thinking about purchasing a Razer mouse. I'm not really worried about QuertyWarrior anyways, they say some weird things all of the time that I don't agree with so I just don't even waste typing, ha

What did I do? All I said was if they preferred another brand, it doesn't matter. It's all opinion, nothing is fact when asking people what they think.

a sub 100 smart/wrist band is brilliant. I i have a cheap razer mouse, but recognize they are the apple of PC products.

a wrist band with notfications thats subtle? does all that you want and nothing more? sweet. I dont want a camera in my watch. *cough samsung* i for one, am quite intrested the nabu. anyone that is in a setting where pulling out a phone all the time isn't acceptable can see the value in this.
