[AUS] Cherry MX Yellow keyboard, $63 Rapoo V500

This seems like a pretty good deal considering the price and the rarity of MX Yellows. I don't know much about this keyboard but I believe the sale ends at 6:am so be quick.

 

That is all I know about this keyboard, if you own or have ever used a keyboard with MX yellows share your experience :)

 

Yellow Key Switches are the inbetween variant of the Blue Switch, and the Red Switch.

Has the same feel as a red switch, but with the click activation of a Blue Switch.

If I had the money for this I probably would get it as it is quite a rare switch type and would be really interesting to use as currently I have only used browns (Logitech G710+) and a little bit of my friends blues (Ducky Shine 3 TKL, blue backlight)

 

EDIT - There are also many other deals on tonight and I believe it happens every night (unless there is a different sale on), so if you missed it it might go on sale again.

Sounds cool, but I don't have money to get another mechanical keyboard simply to try out a new switch. Big time mx brown fan anyway

I'm a bit of a blue man, myself, but I do wonder what typing on yellows would feel like. Up until just now I didn't know such a thing existed.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

$63 for a MX Yellow board. That's a steal.

 

Not sure why Cherry discontinued them, they're a nice medium between the clickiness of MX Blues and the linearity of MX Reds

I'm not sure on the reputation of Rapoo, but no where on the page or Rapoo's official page does it say that the switches are made by Cherry. Most stores and manufacturers advertise when they use Cherry.

It also says that it's rated for 20 million operations while a typical Cherry MX switch is rated for 50 million. Of course, I'm not sure on the MX Yellow rating but that rating is over all of the MX family.

So tempting, never tried yellow switches and I want a new keyboard. Not sure about the brand though it doesn't say much for quality when the brand name (Rapoo) sounds a lot like rat poo.

What if I told you that it never mentions Cherry MX on that website and it most likely isn't since Rapoo already used Kailh Yellow before on their V7 keyboard so it's probably that one.
