Never played games much when the PS2 was out. Getting into some now. How does Gran Turismo 4 hold up if anyone is still playing it?

The videos online make it look pretty good still.

Even today it looks really good actually, if you have a component cable then it can run at 1080i which looks amazing considering other games on PS2

I loved it when I did play.

Holds up pretty well.

But I like Forza much more.

I replayed it about a year ago and ended up putting a good 20 hours into it. The graphics obviously can't compare with newer GT5 and GT6 but it's all about the gameplay and driving physics. Oh and getting money and winning/buying awesome cars.

The best Gran Turismo EVER. I just don't play it anymore cause my CD isn't reading properly and my memory card won't store any save data. And I'm lazy to buy "new" ones.

Its Easily one of the best racing games of all time. I brought 5 to uni with me, and the constant framerate issues are troubling, where 4 was much more smooth

I played it almost daily from 2007-2012, so I pretty much know it by heart. I honestly don't know what it looks like in 1080i. It definitely does look aging, but if you sit in a living room with the TV across the room, it ain't all that bad. It plays nice, physics are a bit meh, and the game takes VERY long to complete, and is VERY challenging.
