Hdmi 2.0 on a 4k tv with displayport to hdmi adapter

So I been reading that quite a few 4k tvs now have hdmi 2.0 and im wondering would it make sense to get one of these tvs and use the displayport out on my gpu and run it to and adapter and then run that to the hdmi 2.0 port on the tv so i can at least get 60hz on the tv

so thats:

4ktv (HDMI 2.0)------------HDMI--------------displayport adapter------DP------------PC (displayport)

I have not seen a DP to HDMI adapter that can do this (4K 60Hz); maybe soon.

A passive DisplayPort to HDMI adapter may be able to do this, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

You would need an active adapter to get 4k @ 30Hz.

afaik there are no DP to HDMI converters that can do 4k @ 60Hz.

The best way would be to buy a 970 or 980 that has native HDMI 2.0

Show me proof that it does 60Hz. From the customer reviews it seems like it cant even do 4k on some computers.

Just because it says HDMI 2.0 and displayport 1.2 doesnt mean it will actually send a 4k 60Hz signal through.

I know. I saw that, which is why I said hmm......

HDMI 2.0 compatibility isn't listed on Belkin's website, so it's most likely BS advertising.
