Something I'm Missing? (need help) :(

So I am planning on getting the BenQ W1080ST+ since it is short throw it is PERFECT for my room measurements.

So whilst looking online for best price, etc. I came across an article saying that the BenQ W1080ST+ is the European Equivalent to the HT1085ST in the US and upon further investigation I found that the HT1085ST is £565.84 on the US Amazon while the W1080ST+ is £990.99 on the UK Amazon which is a £425.15 saving, with which I could invest in a sound system and get a better projection screen.

Obviously my choice is to go with the US version, or the HT1085ST, since there is NO difference in the models, apart from one has a US plug socket, while the UK is obviously a UK socket. I mean could it be this simple? to just save £400 (Minus shipping) by buying from the US? OR (as I suspect) will I also need a compatible cable or plug socket converter to convert it to a UK socket while keeping the correct voltage?

please keep in mind I have no clue about the conversions and differences between UK and US socket types or Volts, Watts and Amps.

Thanks ever-so-much to whomever comments :) cheers

Well, I've come up short, but found something interesting:

The Power specs in both the W1080ST+ and the HT1085ST say that they accept AC100–240V 50-60 Hz, and the US one says 3.5 A as well, so what is the difference? Maybe I should just contact BenQ?
