recommend me a media pc for 1080P resolution

kittyoven

I need a media pc that will play video at 1080p and I don't want to spend a lot of money (I.E) more than 200 is a lot.

Get an apple TV or something. Or some kind of other TV set top box, that's a better option, you'll get more for your money than a media PC at 200.

CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k | Mootherboard: ASUS P8z68v-Pro | GPU: EVGA GTX780Ti 3GB | RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB (4GBx2) 1600mhz | PSU: Corsair AX760 | STORAGE: Samsung 840 Pro 512GB | COOLER: Noctua NH-C14 | CASE: Fractal Design Define R4 Pearl Black | Operating SystemWindows 7 Professional 64-bit |

Or find some cheap decent second hand tower and throw in a low-end video card if you actually want full Windows PC functionality.

People need to stop recommending Raspberry Pi as an HTPC....

I agree with this. I use an old Core2Duo and a crappy graphics card, and it's running XBMC like a dream! You don't need much for an HTPC, but I still wouldn't want to use a Rasberry Pi

Agree with Noc and Aniallator. A $99 ATV3 would be a pretty good budget solution. The interface is probably much faster than the ATV1 (had one). I would cruise the XBMC.org website and see what compatibilty options there are.

You can use a Raspberry Pi as a HTPC. The Raspberry Pi is capable of outputting 1080p video and is a cost effective option as the most recent model of the Raspberry Pi (The Raspberry Pi B+) is only $35.99 on Newegg.
