I need a new phone poeple! ($300-360/£190-£230)

benjyjm

Hi!

Some I've short-listed are:

Moto G(2nd Gen) isnt that high specs, no 4G and small battery.

Nexus 5 better specs still not best battery.

OnePlus One monster all round but isnt available.

Anybody any other phones I've missed which are good value for money in this range?

Thanks

Maybe you should wait for the One to be available if possible.

There are some on ebay I seen but I don't really want to get it from ebay in case it turns out to be a cheap copy or not legit.

Yeah I did see that phone very good price for what you get(should be in my short-list!), think I'd prefer spend the extra for the Nexus 5 though :/

I've heard people (even on here) complaining about CyanogenMod ..anybody know if that would be an issue?

Moto G is a safe and good bet

it fits to £190 perfectly, and is a very good allrounder phone, it has all the features that it needs

@Flyguygamer tell us about your OnePlus One :D

My review says it all but for a quick summary,

Buy this phone as soon as you can. It has some minor bugs but so does every other phone. It is really amazing and I would love to get my hands on the rumored tablet and smart watch. Also OnePlus Two coming next year.

I thought the 16gb version hasn't been released yet.

I thought the 16gb version hasn't been released yet.

It's been released ever since the phone came out afaik.

If you're gonna buy it from there, make sure that it comes with CyanogenMod 11S and not Color OS.

Also @benjyjm, there are invites given away a lot on the official OnePlus forums so I'm pretty sure if you keep trying whenever you have free time, you'll probably bag one.

It, might seem weird, but I'd say to go for the 1st gen moto g.

It has a smaller and lower res screen, but it has the same guts as the 2nd gen and there's a 4g model.

Dream-phone: USB type-c (3.1), 1440p, 5-inch, removable battery, 32gb RAMdrive, sd card slot, stock Android, transparent atomic purple build, 9050 mah battery, waterproof AF, nuclear powered, ac wifi is fine.
OR a one-of-a-kind iphone that runs Android.

  • 2 weeks later...

Thought I should update this.

So bought the OnePlue One :D from Amazon luckily I got it with prime which I thought was strange, its the Chinese version with no CyanogenMod logo but CyanogenMod is installed.

Happy with it so far class phone very responsive. ..no issues pairing with my pebble so far too ;)

Not sure why but the sticker from the phones box ..the OnePlus box was removed and the whole packaging itself was resealed, waiting for Amazon to get back to me about them two things very suspicious but its Amazon any issues come up I should be alright.
