Seiki 4k TV Questions

PercySavageEG

I was very surprised when I saw 4k TVs with a price of $500 to $1000, I can't believe that it would be that inexpensive, I'm wondering if theres any compromises made to produce 4k TV at that price and whether it is worth getting one? Have anyone bought one and used it? If so, hows the quality?

4K will be at 30 Hz.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

is that it? because I don't really mind having a TV at 30 hz, it's used for watching movies anyway, what refresh rate will it work while in Full HD (1920x1080)?

They say it's 120 Hz at "native" resolution although I'm not sire what "native" is, probably Full HD. Although rumors are the screens themselves are not the best quality (viewing angles and colors). I'd give it a year or two and get something from Samsung/Philips/Sharp

I think they're saying that the image processor repaints the picture 120 times a second. The input though is limited to 30Hz at 4K.

Some say that the input rate can go as high as the native panel rate at lower resolutions.

Colour accuracy is bad.

Contrast is horrible.

Menu lacks features.

No smart capability.

Larger bezels.

Shorter warranty.

The Seiki 4K can do legit 120Hz at 1080p. It's not frame interpolated.
