i have to say i agree. I have been waiting for a really nice itx case to fit my htpc in to but it has a high end card. Guess the wait carries on.... None of the offerings match what i think should be available

Yes, coolermaster, make that itx case linus so passionately talked about, people would buy it, and it'll make the "desktop pc" return to the "desktop".

imo, that'll be real cool. But, for now I'll have to go with the Silverstone ML07

Home is where the heart my desktop is.

linus edition console killer case? hell yeah :D even though im not really a living room gamer type person, I can definitely get behind the idea, and will, if such case exists, push friends and family who are tight on space or just want something small and compact, that can game and get work done at the same time without costing a fortune, without a doubt.

PC Specs:

@LinusTech why not a full review of the ML07 that you featured the 600w SFX PSU in? It's plastic outer body is a bit of a let down but otherwise I found it avoided all the issues you had with this case. Hell the manual even has watercooling options.

As above. After seeing your review of the RVZ01, I was quite interested in that case. Then I found that it had a more mature version, the ML07. I put a 4790K, GTX980, a HDD and a SSD in there no problem. It has the smallest volume of all cases that could accommodate this hardware, and it's just a tad bigger than the Xbox1/PS4.

Really thinking of using this case for my friend that wants a mid range pc, but doesn't have room for a tower. This looks sufficient and sleek enough. Really like the look compared to other cases.

It would not surprise me if someone in this community was able to quickly mock up a complete case exactly to Linus' specification, and then posted it here.

*fingers crossed*

Good rant, Linus. I's just searching a good looking case to build a "powerful" slim console like gaming PC a few days ago. Also stumbled upon this Lian Li case. Wow, what a let down. The cooling and space utilization are just poor.

I thought we finally have high quality SFX PSU and a real powerful, yet low power consumption(less heat) GPU, the Gigabyte GTX970 itx, to build a my dream PC. Now the only missing link is a good case. How frustrating...

If i understood linus correctly the thing he discribed is being developed by a guy on [H]forum:

Has the whole external psu too:

EDIT: This might require some clarification, the one on the right has an external laptop-style PSU and an internal PCB that splits into al the neccesary connectors. The one on the left has a regular internal SFX psu.

So here I was thinking I found my next case. Done are the days of a big ass tower. A small form factor case and a NAS for storage is what I want. Maybe even with water cooling.

A shame...

I'll have a lok at that hardforum dude's case.
