Meh, I am a hardcore battlefield fan and I think the dropped the ball on this game.

I found it being a worse experience than BF3 which is loved. BF4 map and weapon balance is way off and the netcode didn't exactly get better.

Edit: The only thing I am enjoying about the game ATM is commander mode.

I disagree, since the patch it's gotten much better. You can also destroy stuff! Not to mention it's on sale.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Indeed, its better. From beyond shit to shit. There are other games out there more worthy of those 15€'s

BF4, is BF3 in worse condition. A year into it's life cycle, it's finally in a playable state, but there's still major connection issues with the game.

As a game BF4 is nice.

This is coming from someone who played BF3 almost non-stop since launch till BF4 came out.

At that point I was also convinced that it wasn't much of an improvement over BF3 even after I played the whole story on a friend's PS4.

I finally bought it anyway (for PS4) and the online and the new maps/weapons etc. are nice. Don't know how playable the online is for PC though.

Battlefirled 3 and premium. Battlefield 4 felt like it was made for Call of Duty convertees. Chokepoints after chokepoints after chokepoints. Also, there's less destruction than Battlefield 3 and that in turn had less destruction than BFBC2 which is what you really should be playing at the end of the day.

After the update it's not bad, I have really been enjoying it for the past month. I stopped playing it back in late winter because it just didn't work, but now it's not bad.

It is not the greatest. I do not like the "Battlefield Battlelog" integration. It is totally bad; I prefer a single, standalone game with a main menu. However, with BF4, starting every game, every server you connect to, and even your friend-list is controlled in your browser. It feels like a browser and a game, it just does not feel like one. However, I like the graphics and especially the story line.

Long time Linus fan with too many different forums to keep track of LTT's.

especially the story line.

I think I finally found the one person in the universe who likes the BF4 story/

As to whether or not to get it, I would say yeah. The DLC's aren't really worth it though aside from the new guns.

Bf4 came with my R9 290, and I put a decent amount of hours into it. I don't play that often anymore but I think it's definitely worth it's sale price.

If you like BF3 then you should also have a great time with BF4, I've put over 150 hours (0 of those hours were spent in the campaign) into BF4 since launch.

THAT BEING SAID....

Since the fall patch I'm averaging about 10 minutes of playtime before BF4 crashes to desktop. I've spent alot of time over the last month trying to solve the problem, i've even spent(wasted) 10+ hours talking with EA help, but nothing has worked.

Buyer beware I guess, a year after launch they are still releasing patches that break the game for some people. At this rate the game should finally be optimized when BF5 launches in 2016.

Personally I've been enjoying BF4 a lot more than BF3, even bought the game for a friend who could not get it at that time.

I'm not really happy about the map selection in battlefield 4. Beside Siege of Shanghai there aren't any other maps I really like to play. Rush is my favorite mode and it doesn't get much love from Dice as well. I'd say pick it up when it's heavily discounted. And don't bother with the premium. The only really worthy DLC is second assault. Not sure if you can get this anywhere cheap, but sinking money into the other is a waste.

All this aside, yes it's finally playable and they worked out most of the bugs.
