overclocking Core 2 duo e8500

I found old Core 2 Duo e8500 its processor with every new intel functions just has 2 cores

 

so i any one have ever overclocked it? and if anyone can post old result how far i can stretch it..!

 

i just want to have fun with it so dont wont to burn it straight ..

 

mobo - Gigabyte g41

Ram 8gb 1333 kingston

 

and i have much better pc its just to have fun.. and overclock the hell out of it..

Still haven't gotten around to overclocking my e5200 with an aftermarket HSF ever.  Maybe we will have the same project over the next week or so.  As for remembering how the overclocking works with this cpu I don't.  My memory is not good.

I've overclocked mine to 4.7GHz with 1.7v. Cinebench was run on a single thread, hence the score of 132.

But that G41 mobo won't be getting you anywhere

i have a similar cpu in my pc and maybe once i get a new one i could try this aswell
