RMA Question

Adam
Go to solution Solved by MegaDave91,

The way you received it is generally how they expect you to return it as well.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't return the cables as well.

Hi all

My PSU recently died, and filed for an RMA and the company said to send it back. Which is fine. My question is: Do i need to return everything that it came with. (ie all of the power cords/cables) or just the main box?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Thanks...

:)

Each company will vary. When you get the email about their RMA process, it should state what they want sent back to them.

Usually it would be everything, however you should contact the manufacturer to check because if you don't need to then why bother

If it's a modular PSU it would be good to not need to redo all the cable management when you get the new unit.

True, but no one said RMA'ing is pretty. At least he doesn't have to RMA his motherboard.

Yea that was my main "concern". But its alright, ill suck it up. At least it gives me a chance to redo my non-attempt at cable management.
