Modding LED Lights?

Tabor
Go to solution Solved by KamiKatze,

Normally this is just a regular 3 mm or 5 mm LED on a wire. Try to get to it, and solder on a new one. Worked for me in my Define R4

Currently I am looking for parts for my pc but i just cant seem to find a way to mod my default power button led light. I would like to change it into a more refined blue LED that will match the rest of my build. If it matters I am using the CM storm Stryker Case.

+1 for that, changed my R4's blue LED to a white one.

Is it a very simple process or is it complicated?

Once you get to your LED it's not that difficult. You need to know how to solder. I'm not gonna type out the whole thing, if you don't know how to solder or don#t even own solder equipment, ask a friend who does to help you.

Edit: and you need to get the LED back into place. Wasn't too easy  with my Define R4. :D

For me it was easy, I just pushed it in. (and put a band aid over it)

I used superglue and a paper clip to put it back into place. :D
