What Should I Buy

malicalik13

Hello guys! I am planning to upgrade one of my peripherals (G105 and G500).And I need your opinions about upgrading to a mechanical keyboard (probably G710+ or Gigabyte Osmium) or getting a G502. So which one is going to make my gameplay more enjoyable?

I love mechanical keyboards but a good mouse is pretty much always more important, if you're happy with the G500 get a keyboard, of which the G710+ is a good choice if you like mx browns, otherwise get a mouse and I highly recommend the G502.

Thank you guys both! I will upgrade both of them but it will take about 6 months to buy the other one. I didn't use any mechanical keyboards in the past and I'm wondering how a mechanical keyboard effects my experience but on the other hand G502 looks just amazing with great features and sensor etc. What can I do to decide?Any ideas?

get keyboard first.

Keyboard technology is more stagnant, the biggest improvement might be fancier lighting, while better sensors could come out for mice in the next 6 months.

switches are more noticable then a better sensor for most people

Less is likely to go wrong with keyboards. With mice, weight and shape are very subjective and you might not be as happy with the g502 as you hope. Mice sometimes also die in the first 6 months or so, while keyboards typically last many years.

What games do you play?

I think that if you play a lot of FPS you'll most likely enjoy a new mouse more than if you played a lot of more keyboard oriented games(MMOs maybe?).

Or if you do a lot of typing or are still in school maybe a keyboard would benefit you more to type up those essays.
