Interesting Failure to Boot

VIhul

So I ordered some aftermarket cables which arrived today, so I plug them in, and I don't boot. Not even post, the computer doesn't turn on whatsoever. So then I plug the stock PSU cables back in, and I have the same issue. I can still power devices via usb (for example my phone) on the motherboard and front panel. Any thoughts?

This is strange indeed.Ok by cables you mean what?like 24pin cable or 6 pin or molex...if so there may be something wrong with the contacts on the cable.Take a look and please quote back maybe we can fix this

Beware of him that is slow to anger; for when it is long coming, it is the stronger when it comes, and the longer kept. Abused patience turns to fury.

As i said maybe the contacts are broken or just doesn't connect.Try to push them a lil harder

Maybe i ask why you think so?I mean if they are extension and the pc will boot without them is clearly not the mobo

That's the thing, it won't boot no matter what cables I use.

Ok now is strange...What i assume.Maybe the cables(the psu ones) are not plugged well or by an accident you caused a short with the new cables

Throw the board in the oven at 385 degrees F for 10 minutes. That fixes a no boot problem more often then not lol.

Im actually serious on this. Most recent one I repaired for a customer, just was in the oven Wednesday night as it did not turn on. Brought the board back to the shop Thursday and its all good to go again. Have done this dozens of times with miscelaneous electronics.

Put balls of tinfoil underneath and remove labels and such that have the possibility to catch fire. And remove the battery! I forgot to once and it was a little crisp afterwards.
