another 780 or 980 for 4k

I was going to built a home server but i didnt really have a purpose for one so im think about 4k gaming and should i get another 780 (I have the evga 780 6gb version) or should i get the 980 or wait for the 980 ti if it comes out?

your better off getting another 780 but then again your 780 will be limited to 3gb of vram which might not be enough for 4k

Since you have the 6GB 780, hands down another 780.

Yep. Two 780s is a lot of power. Usually you'd be limited in terms of VRAM at 4K with the 3GB version, but since you have the 6GB version, get another 6GB (I believe same VRAM is required with SLI) and you'll have some badass graphics power.

The master as I am, agree with another GTX 780 6 Gb. Appreciate the VRAM of Titan Z and raw performance going beyond Titan Black. Happy gaming!

780 6GB.

 

Extra VRAM for big huge textures on big huge resolution. + 780 SLI would be badass.
