I just want to say that anti aliasing on AMD cards during the PC closed Beta was a complete fucking disaster.

Hopefully this is fixed in the retail release..

... Then again it's Ubisoft

What's Ubi's fucking deal? First they throw hilariously high "requirements" at us for AC Unity but then they throw these pretty reasonable ones out not even a week later.

This inconsistency is bothering me

Well, it is far better than Unity. But still, it better not be locked at 30FPS like the beta was. That made me dizzy and nearly sick.

Strange... This shows HD 6870 and HD 7870 are as fast as GTX 580 and GTX 670, respectively.

Isn't 7870 an R9 270? In that case it's pretty close to a GTX 760 which is the same as a 670.

GTX670 and an unlocked i7 for maximum setting on the crew? bullshit

last time I played this game I maxed all setting at ~ 60fps with a 760, so a 660, 750 Ti or AMD equivalent should have no problem maxing it, also the graphic is not worth the 670. But still miles better than AC unity

I played the beta with better than listed optimal and still was less than 30fps(WITH DUAL 680'S), even though it is locked at 30 (i may not be right with that ?)

You could raise the FPS cap to 60, but the engines sounded weird at 60fps if I remember correctly.

it is locked at 30, and the frame isn't always stable

If it is locked at 30, it is defected by choice. And that means I wont buy it. It's their choice to make a game nearly unplayble, especially for those that are actually effected by 30FPS. I'll stick to developers who know how to develop for PC and leave Ubisoft to keep digging their hole.

Indeed, but since when have game devs properly balanced AMD vs NVIDIA, or AMD vs INTEL spec requirements? It just seems like they can never get it right.

Isn't 7870 an R9 270? In that case it's pretty close to a GTX 760 which is the same as a 670.

More or less, yeah. The 270 is a rebranded 7850, and the 270x is a rebranded 7870 GHz Edition. There were minor tweaks under the hood, but that's about it. For whatever unknown reason, they also rebranded the chip arch itself from Pitcairn to Curaçao, despite them being essentially the same core chips.

The GTX 670 is probably closer to the 7870 GHz/270x, of the two. But at that point we're splitting hairs lol.

When it first came out for BETA, I watched ItmeJP play a bunch, and it was interesting, but it also looked rather shallow in depth.
