Rainmeter?

protato117

So I've been recently modding my win7 UI lately, and I thought of getting rainmeter.

my question: is rainmeter cpu intensive? or technically something that'll eat up a little bit performance? esp for an older CPU like a core2duo?

any feedback would be appreciated! :D

Rainmeter is pretty light...

I've got it running on my rig and it barely eats up any resources...

I use it mostly to keep track of activity and storage using a modified illustro skin...

Rainmeter is amazing, i have it running on a laptop that barely runs google chrome and i see no performance difference except for 1 fps while gaming.  On my desktop no difference.

How did you manage to screw things up with Rainmeter?

I know that there are pretty nasty malware-laden 'mods' out there, but there are some mods that are pretty safe...

Are we talking about those sparkly mouse pointers that keep popping up in ads? or something completely different?

iirc you can do that manually via regedit + a few other steps...

3D tab editor on the other hand sounds really iffy...
