Laptop questions!

TheTacoSniper

Hey guys, so I am doing a lot of traveling in the near future and I have been planning on getting a laptop ( most likely this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834317598 ) and I had a few question. Is the Lenovo G50 ( i5 model ) a decent laptop? Will I be able to replace the included hard drive with an SSD? I am worried that I will not be able to bear the molasses speeds of a mechanical drive as my main. Is it possible to get some sort of external battery pack thing for long plane rides because 2200mAh seems kinda small for a laptop. Lastly, are there any other laptops capable of light weight gaming ( CS:GO, Minecraft, and QWOP ) around the same pricepoint that you would recommend? Thanks for you help!  I love you

wow, thats a lot of bees!

It looks like its a decent laptop. It has some cons like the screen(glossy, low res, TN), but the rest of the system has a well balanced price to performance ratio(would argue that it has good features too, but most will see as average). The HDD is upgradeable, so you can install any 2.5" SSD in it(you will need some way of installing a OS to the SSD though). Since this laptop is 65 watts, most external battery packs should work(however you will need to find one with Lenovos proprietary connector). I did a little bit of searching for a battery pack, but haven't found one with Lenovos connector(I'll keep my eyes open). For your last question, I really don't know since I've been out of the Laptop market for while now, but I'm sure someone else can help :).
