Missing Operating System error when trying to boot from CD

1823alex

I just got an HP DL360 G5 from eBay and installed the wrong Server 2012, and I needed to clear the raid config, so that's what I did, but now when I try to boot from the correct OS disk. Server 2012 Essentials, it just says "Attemting to boot from CD or DVD..... Missing Operating System" and then it won't boot at all since there is no OS. I haven't reset the ROM thing (Not sure what it's called it's like a backup ROM or something? Should I reset that? It's in the correct boot order and all. Just keep getting this error.

Can you list the current boot order?

Do you have any removable media that the system might be trying to boot from?

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I've fixed and feel REALLY dumb I didn't reset the server back to rsbu or something with those letter in it settings and now it's working.
