I don't know if the Kraken x61 will fit my case

Hullo everyone,

I thinking of installing the Kraken x61 AIO into my Thermaltake Urban T31 case. I'm not too sure, so I want someone to double check.

Partial case dimensions:

Top (exhaust) :(optional)
120 x 120 x 25 mm x 2 or 140 x 140 x 25 mm x 2

Kraken x61 dimensions:

140 (W) x 280 (H) x 27mm (D)

I'm not sure how fan dimensions work. LOL

Another question:

If I install the AIO and don't overclock immediately is that okay?

Thanks in advance!  :D

The Kraken x60 fits with the removal of the rear fan for the tubing so it seems the x61 should fit as well: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/vrZLrH

You don't need to overclock in order to use an AIO. Its just better to overclock with an aio, You use an aio because you overclock, you don't overclock because you have an AIO.

As for the dimensions it's almost fine.

140x150x25 (x2) means 2x 140 fans. The Kraken is 2x 140 fans too (280 H) 140 (W). Only issue is that the x61 is 2mm deeper than the 25mm recommended for the case, without fans installed.

May have some clearance issues with your motherboard.

Ok thanks, do you recommend any other AIO coolers?

Thanks, do you recommend any AIO coolers? Yeah, I don't want to have clearance issues.

Try things like the Corsair H series, or CoolerMaster Hyper series.

How do you like your H105? Any problems with the cooler? I heard that the H100i had some minor software issues, what do you think of the H100i?

Thank you for your continuous assistance.  :)

I owned a H100i that leaked and ruined my CPU, motherboard and powersupply (luckily corsair replaced all of these, and upgraded me to a H105). I'm loving the H105 so far.

Wow! At least they replaced it!! So Corsair Link feature allows you to control all your fans?

Corsair Link is a niche accessory. Haven't bothered using it at all and don't plan on.
