THE ~$500 PC

vt3c

Hi guys. Today I'm sharing a build I decided to throw together on newegg. I don't plan on building it, I just like looking at parts, but I'm just curious about this one to see if anyone would do it different. This is designed to be extremely slimline and small.

So , the ~$500 PC I researched/slapped together. I did not use pcpartpicker, sadly, as I don't like it. I just go on newegg and choose parts. I've done it so many times, it's almost a reflex now and pcpartpicker takes 3x longer for me.

It doesn't get anymore budget than that. I'd personally suggest for the person save up a bit more for an h97/z97 + G3258 at the least.

Main: i7 2600 | ASUS P8Z68-V | 2x4GB Vengeance 1600 | GTX 580 | WD Blue 1TB | Antec TP-650C | NH U12S | W7 x64

Backup: X6 1090T | MSI K9A2 Platinum | 4x2GB XMS2 800 | GTX 550Ti | WD Blue 1TB |  Antec VP-450 | CM TX3 | W7 x64

But it's not that bad of a system, right? I also created a system similar to this with a pentium g3258 for $522

that psu is waaay overpriced/slight overkill for a system of this caliber so money can be saved there. a cx430 for maximum savings, a cx500 for future proofing but both cheaper and capable than the antec

System: Intel Core i3 3240 @ 3.4GHz, EVGA GTX 960 SSC 2GB ACX 2.0, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 Kingston HyperX RAM, ASRock B75M-DGS R2.0 Motherboard, Corsair CX430 W Power Supply
