You can record with any 7000 series+ AMD card as they now all have Hardware Encoders.

Oh that's cool. That was literally one of the only reason I picked Nvidia, That and at the time the 780 was better then AMD's current card. Not by much if I remember though.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Looking at these, if you turn off MSAA you would get a slight bump in FPS. also these cards were reference so OC'ing them would also gain a small bump in fps.
980SLI and 295X2

Pics in spoiler to save space.

IMO, if your dropping that much for the rig, just wait until the start of next year and hopefully something better is around be it from AMD or Nvidia.

no but its a start you would need 4 gpus to run close to max but with 4 key you dont need aa so u might get away with just the two looking really good

I mean the part about the i7 or that an i5 might bottleneck the r9 295x2

That an i5 would bottleneck it

Yes, but if you want more fps add another 980 or 2

I've got an epic overkill partlist on pcpartpicker that is $12k

Which part of what I'm saying?

Just basically AMD GPUs performing better than their NVIDIA counterparts in 4K gaming.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

min 60 fps max in any game? No.

This is pretty much as good as you can get with a reasonable setup,

you could go with 3 980s, but the gains wont be very great and it wont even work in some games.

Most games will run around 60 maxed, except for those rare few games that push high end cards even in 1080p.

I'm saying single cards. Well, IDK now that the Titan Z is 1.5K.

I don't think even a QX9775 would bottleneck a 295.

this is probably the only place i'll hang out anymore: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/274320-the-long-awaited-car-thread/

Don't worry, I'm no fanboy, I personally would go with an AMD card if what I did supported them well. ;)
