Help with watercooling parts

Hi, first post here. I am finally building a new rig very soon, my current one is in need of retirement. Here are the specs:

CPU: Intel i7 5820k

GPU: 2x GTX 970 SLI

RAM: 16GB Gskill Ripjaws DDR4

Mobo: Gigabyte SOC Force X99

PSU: Not sure yet

Case: Custom build

This will be my first watercooling build, and I really dont know how to properly choose the parts, there are so many choices and I dont really have any knowledge of which brand is best, and price/performance on everything. I know most requirements, i have done some research but I would like some help choosing the parts. I plan on doing 2 loops, one from the GPUs and one for the CPU. Also I plan on using acrylic tubing and have a orange/black theme so I will probably use Mayhem pastel orange and probably black fittings. Aside from that I would really appreciate some help choosing the pumps, rads, fittings, blocks, and all that come with watercooling. Also I dont have an unlimited budget so over 1000$ is out of the question. Any help would be great

This is unhelpful. Linus can not help him pick parts.

To OP: I'll throw something together soon.

Well I mean Linus does say which parts he is using, so I guess that helps. He also says his opinion about them

Yeah I dont really need help with the assembly, but with the parts themselves, like Alphacool has 3 different radiator line which all look the same, yet are 50-70$ appart even being the same size

Thanks man, any help would be greatly appreciated

Get a GTX 980 not 2 GTX 970s, Further upgradability in the future. And 1 GTX 980 = 2 GTX 970s and cheaper.

Actually 2 970s destroy a single 980, and for only +/- 150 more, besides when I change the GPU there will be 2 more new generations, so if I got a 980 I would not get another one when I need one, but an entirely different card

Yeah I'm with this guy Linus does a good water cooling video on what to look for in parts and how you can tell what is compatible with what. But I'll still put my 2 cents in. Generally Swiftech is a good place to look at parts. They make good pumps and water blocks. As far as a radiators go you can really go with anything as long as you know what size you are buying. No one has really any ground breaking tech for rads lol. But a brand that comes to mind is Alphacool. The reason you might be finding differently prices rads is because of the thickness of them. They can be the same length and increase the thickness which does help cooling the liquid so that's something to think about. Obviously if you get a thicker rad you need to make sure you have clearance in your case. This is a good site to look at parts for a loop. They sell everything you need and have some guides on picking parts and assembly. Just check and double check your parts list because it is going to suck when you start putting this together and figure out something doesn't fit or you got the wrong size fittings or something like that.

Coolant: Mayhems Pastel Orange (great choice)

Fittings: Bitspower matte black compresion fittings 1/2 ID 3/4 OD

Tubing: Primochill Advanced LRT 1/2 ID 3/4 OD

CPU: EK supremacy EVO (make sure you get one with nickel plating)

GPU: EK FC-GTX 970 (not out yet) (again, nickel plating --> helps protect again the visual signs of water corrosion)

Pumps: Two D5 vario's, Swiftech MCP655 or Alphacool VPP655 for example

Rads: 240/280 or 360 for the CPU, a 360/480/420 for the GPU's, Alphacool makes great full copper low fpi rads in 30/45/60mm thickness. If you want thin and high fpi check out the Swiftech MCRx20-XP series

Reservoir: You could go for a pump/res combo like the EK 140 X-RES
